This is a Mini Recruitment Drive (also known as a job mela or walk-in interview event), jointly organized by the Model Career Centre (MCC) and District Employment Exchange, Guwahati (located at Rehabari, Guwahati, Assam). These events are regular initiatives by the Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training, Government of Assam, aimed at connecting local job seekers with private sector employers for immediate or quick placements.
A) Ozone Pharma, Amingaon
Unskilled Worker – 20 nos.
Eligibility: HS Pass
Key Responsibilities:
✓ Assist in the production line by handling basic operations such as loading/unloading materials, packing finished products, labeling, or assembling components.
✓ Support machine operators by supplying raw materials, cleaning workstations, or moving goods within the factory.
✓ Perform general helper duties, including cleaning equipment, maintaining hygiene in the production area (essential for GMP compliance in pharma), sorting items, or providing basic warehouse support.
✓ Carry out manual tasks like weighing, counting, or simple inspection of products under supervision.
✓ Follow basic safety and cleanliness protocols in cleanroom or manufacturing zones.

B) Barbeque Nation Hospitality Ltd.
Guest Service Associate & Trainee Chef – 100 nos.
Eligibility: Certificate holders or candidates interested in the Hospitality Industry
I) Guest Service Associate (GSA):
This is a front-of-house, customer-facing role focused on delivering excellent service in a fast-paced buffet restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✓ Ensure smooth and efficient service flow to guests, attending to their needs and requests promptly.
✓ Support senior GSAs or captains in achieving guest delight and high satisfaction levels.
✓ Assist with table setup, maintenance, cleanliness, and re-laying tables as needed.
✓ Handle tasks like safely placing/removing live grills at tables (a signature feature of Barbeque Nation).
✓ Coordinate with kitchen staff, seniors, and team members for starters, main course service, and overall operations.

✓ This entry-level position is ideal for freshers or those passionate about hospitality, offering hands-on experience in guest interaction, service standards, and restaurant operations.
II) Trainee Chef:
This is a back-of-house, kitchen-focused role aimed at beginners learning food production (sometimes overlapping with trainee steward duties).
Key Responsibilities:
✓ Perform basic culinary activities such as cutting, chopping, and preparing ingredients.
✓ Possess foundational knowledge of the production department and support senior chefs (e.g., range chefs).
✓ Coordinate with senior range chefs to assist in cooking, grilling, and preparing dishes (especially barbecue/grill items).
✓ Help maintain kitchen hygiene, safety standards, and assist in food handling.
✓ In some combined trainee postings, tasks may include safely handling grills, assisting with table service, or stepping in for stewards/GSAs when needed.

I) Field Engineer – 20 nos.
Eligibility: BE/Diploma in Electrical or Electronics
Job Overview: Field Engineers work on-site (field-based) and handle installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical/electronic systems or infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
✓ Travel to various project sites (within Guwahati/North-East or assigned areas).
✓ Perform on-site inspections, installations, and preventive/corrective maintenance.
✓ Troubleshoot electrical/electronic faults using tools like multimeters and testing kits.

✓ Perform mechanical fitting and assembly — aligning, assembling, and installing mechanical components or parts.
✓ Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical/electronic systems, motors, circuits, or industrial equipment.
✓ Conduct routine preventive maintenance, calibration, and adjustments to ensure smooth operation.
✓ Assist in assembly of electronic/electrical systems, wiring harnesses, or instrumentation.
✓ Work in industrial environments to support operations, reduce downtime, and maintain safety standards.
D) ITC Ltd., Guwahati
Trade Apprenticeship
Eligibility: For Elect/Fitter/Plumber/Machinist/Diesel Mech/Draughtsmen
Specific Trade-Based Duties:
✓ Electrician: Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical systems, wiring, panels, motors, lighting, and safety checks in plant machinery.
✓ Fitter: Assembly, fitting, alignment of mechanical components, machinery parts, tool handling, basic fabrication, and equipment maintenance.
✓ Plumber: Installation/repair of piping, water supply, sanitation systems, drainage, and related fixtures in the facility.
✓ Machinist: Operating lathes, milling machines, grinders; precision machining of parts; tool setting and basic CNC exposure if applicable.
✓ Mechanic Diesel: Maintenance, repair, and overhauling of diesel engines, generators, vehicles, pumps, and heavy machinery used in plant operations.
✓ Draughtsman: Reading/creating technical drawings, blueprints; using CAD tools for mechanical/plant layouts; assisting in design/documentation of equipment/modifications.
