Recruitment for the post Scientific Assistant/Field Assistant under DBT funded project

The station invites application from Indian nationals for the following position on contract basis:

Name Of The Post - Scientific Assistant/Field Assistant

Number Of Post - 2

Name of project: Genome wide association mapping for identification of novel genes/QTLs of Bao rice population of Assam for deep water tolerance and nutritional quality trait.

Salary: Consolidated emoluments of INR 18,000 + 8% HRA per month

Educational Qualification: Graduation with prior expertise in:

1. Rice Grain Quality laboratory work
2. Growing and maintaining rice plants at field and laboratory.

Age Limit: Not more than 40 years as on closing date of advertisement

Tenure-

The position is temporary for a period of one year and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance. The position is coterminous with the project.

Location - North Lakhimpur

1. Name Of The Post : Project Assistant
No of posts: 1

Name of Project: Integrated Approaches towards Addressing Sustainable Agriculture among the SC/ST population with special reference to Jhum Cultivators of Karbi Anglong District of Assam (under DST, India)

Educational Qualification: B.Sc.
Desirable: Experience of working in microbiology laboratory shall be given preference

Pay: Rs 22,000/– (consolidated)

2. Name Of The Post : Senior Research Fellow

No of Post: 1

Name of project: Utilization of Citrus Microbiome in Rejuvenating Khasi Mandarin Plants affected by important citrus diseases (under DBT’s NER Citrus Programme)

Educational Qualification: M./Sc. (Agri)/M. Tech/M.Sc in Biotechnology/Plant Breeding and Genetics/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology / Life Sciences with two years of research experience
Desirable: Experience of working in laboratory oriented to such discipline shall be given preference.

Pay:

i) Rs 35000 + 8% HRA (applicable for candidates with NET, GATE, BET, BINC qualified or any other selections process through National Level Examinations conducted by Central Govt. Dept. and their Agencies and Institutions.

ii) Rs. 28000 + HRA for other who do not fall under above (i)

3. Name Of The Post : Technical Assistant

No of Post: 1

Educational Qualification: B.Sc.

Pay: Rs. 20000 + 8% HRA (fixed)

4. Name Of The Post :- Project Coordinator

No of Post: 1

Name of project: Integrated Approaches towards Addressing Sustainable Agriculture among the SC/ST population with special reference to Jhum Cultivators of Karbi Anglong District of Assam (under DST, India)

Educational Qualification: Doctoral Degree in Agriculture/Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology / Life Sciences with two years of research experience
Desirable: Experience of working in laboratory as well as extension activities oriented to such discipline shall be given preference.

Pay: Rs 55,000/– (consolidated)
